CASE STUDY
Design + Build
A 5000 SF headquarters for Avocados and Coconuts Productions located in SOMA.
Scope & Cost
Avocados and Coconuts is well known in the Bay Area not only for their numerous film projects but also for their unique film studio and production headquarters located for almost ten years in the Mission. But like many businesses in San Francisco, they eventually were pushed out of their office space. In early 2020, they purchased an old photography studio in SOMA and tasked us with designing and building their new home.
They required very specific spatial needs including a cyclorama, production offices, meeting rooms, edit suites, and lots of gear storage. But the most interesting challenge was how to bring the Avos brand into the space.
Through a lot of collaboration and a team of talented people we were able to create this very unique 5000 square foot studio.
